       Child with learning disability shows difficulty with cognitive skills.Typically cognitive skills helps to participate  &  complete the task. Cognitive skill is mental process and learning style.It includes Attention,Memory, language processing & arithmetic processing.

They are crucial component in learning process.When cognitive skills are not well develop it will lead difficulty in completing a task due to easily getting distracted or boredom. Such can hamper the progress in studies and community living skills in children . 

Usually child get cognitively exhausted by engaging in thinking games,outdoor play, challenging task,excessive screen time,illness,chronic medication,stress ,anxiety,prolong task performances and so on these should not be of any concern unless they impact child's daily routine activities.

    If a fractured bone can need rehabilitation, then why shouldn't a child who is struggling with study be helped?  When we feel sick ,we visit physician for a check up then why to ignore child's difficulty in reading and writing? As a fracture of bone needs rehabilitation same way parent of child with learning issuses should seek help from Learning Disabilities specialist to avoid creating mountain out of mole hole.  Ignoring learning issues at an early age of a child would lead to difficulties in academic performance ahead. WRITING FROM BOARD

Often Parent & Teacher have concern that the child doesn't copy from blackboard that leads to incomplete work in classroom.Inability/Not able to keep up with - to Copy from board also impact academic progress & mental wellness of child. Thus you can implement this functional behaviour statergy  at home to help child to be productive in classroom & get appreciate for their efforts, Model the classroom situation at your home . Put up vertically a board at home . Have sit the child at a distance . Prompt the child to look at board and copy (first only words then grade it to sentences) Gradually start to fade the prompts. prompts to be used- -physical prompts then verbal prompts -your presences then your distance yourself from child while writing.
