SUPPORT LEARNING SKILL IN KIDS

Kids are always engage in learning new skills through academic or extracurricular activities. this new skill makes them feel accomplished and rewarded. Every kid has potentiality to learn . Learning attitude differs among kids. Few kids are quick learner due to strong neural connections in brain so their brain can process the information efficiently. Some kids learn differently rather than traditional classroom learning because processing of information and response takes time. these are the kids who need support for enhancing learning ability.

Old method to help these kids is by providing them more time to process and respond or modify the learning into small chunks. these strategies does not help in cognitive enhancement.

To learn effectively kids can be taught to strengthen their cognitive-skills  . One such cognitive skill is Executive function.

Executive Function (EF)should be encouraged by giving opportunities to child through numerous play activities ,social interaction and functional training to channelize these skillset.

These skillsets help child to navigate successfully through daily activities of living such as self care, play, study and extracurricular activities.

Executive functions are special skillsets of cognitive development, these skill set are working memory, inhibitory control and cognitive flexibility.

lets understand with a simple example about its work, While you are reading a novel, you keep track of story that is read . you are taking care that book doesn't get dropped ,now that someone offered you your favorite ice-cream you start enjoying that ice cream along with reading book . lets get clarified, track of story is your working memory doing. preventing the fall is being done by inhibitory control and licking ice cream along with reading novel is your cognitive flexibility.

Working memory supports the link between information. Inhibitory control works to eliminate distractions and select the appropriateness among the available options . Cognitive flexibility help transitions within or switching between task smoothly. every step that we analyze, have a strategy to accomplish the reading task . Playing with Rubik cube is another classic example of executive function. Same way to learn a task ,child can be supported with strategies base on executive function requirement of task to accomplish. These strategies will help child to develop potentiality of task learning.

Benefits of the Pomodoro Technique 1. *Improved Focus*: By dedicating a set time to a task, you can eliminate distractions and stay focused. 2. *Increased Productivity*: By working in focused intervals, you can complete tasks more efficient...

BRIEF ABOUT LEARNING DISABILITY

Struggling learners tend to have a pattern of real strengths and weaknesses in their underlying skills, causing them to over-rely on their strengths.  Learning means acquiring information Ability means physical and mental potentiality to do Disability means problem in physical and mental ability. A kids in classroom is sitting and watching projector if child has visual acuity problem then it's eye related impairment but same student has good eye acuity despite that have difficulty to understand the content then it's learning disabilty.again here lack of interest is different thing. Learning Disability (LD) means difficulty in aquisition of information. LD solve their problems by intuition not by logic or creatively .(Frontal lobe does problem solving) dyscalculia doesn't have number sense, mental maths, sequencing and organising & mathematical operations.Poor time management and money handling. Dyscalculia can't read calender eg if asked how many Mondays are the...
